It was hard to leave the NYC pigeons, but have no fear, the girls discovered Cape Cod Ospreys. We’ve had a dramatic change of scenery, but Eliza and Georgia are still enraptured by the surrounding bird life.
The best aspect of this trip is that our moms, Nancy and Betty, have joined us for our stay in Cape Cod. In the days leading up to their arrival, Georgia made nonstop jokes about “the grandmas” coming to visit us. And Eliza pulled me aside last night and said, “Isn’t it just amazing how well the grandmas get along?” I guess I’ve taken for granted the fact that our mothers really enjoy each other’s company. When Eliza pointed out how remarkable it is that they are friends, I laughed, but then it dawned on me….It IS really wonderful that they like each other and travel together. We feel so fortunate to have them here with us this week and you better believe we are all soaking up every ounce of their TLC.
They’ve also been treating us to incredible meals. We are so grateful for this week with “The Grandmas.”
I must end with one of Georgia’s jokes…
What is better than spending a week with one Grandma on the beach?
